Osmo asked Tact to re-engineer the parts for their product line after struggling with poor cosmetic quality due to the detail mechanical design provided by their overseas contract manufacturer. Knowing the nuances of plastic part design, we were able to apply techniques that reduce things like knit lines, visible part lines, blush, sink marks and drag marks. By re-engineering the parts, we were able to elevate cosmetic quality, decrease part count, simplify the design and decrease costs at the same time.
