Sanmai Technologies Neurotherapy Device

Sanmai Technologies’ flagship product is a noninvasive device that stimulates specific areas of a patient’s brain using transcranial ultrasound and an AI-assisted virtual targeting system. It’s part of the neurotech startup’s plan to unlock an exciting new category of brain therapeutics.

Tact started working with Sanmai to quickly develop working prototypes and a lab-based proof of concept. Sanmai’s goal is to produce the world’s first FDA-cleared transcranial focused ultrasound (tFUS) device, so the prototypes had to use production materials to meet filing requirements in the short term and avoid startup-killing expenses of redoing their FDA application in the long term. Tact helped Sanmai strategically source medical-grade materials and processes at prototype scale to meet both business and development objectives. Sanmai’s first clinical ultrasound device is in trials, using the prototypes we developed.

“This is what I’ve been dreaming about for 3 years!”
